Trip overview
Standing tall at 6,476m, Mera Peak offers one of Nepal’s most rewarding climbing experiences. Also known as the gateway to Everest, it is the highest of Nepal’s trekking peaks and provides spectacular views of five 8,000m giants: Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga. While the climb is technically straightforward, the high altitude demands proper acclimatization and basic mountaineering skills. This is the perfect peak for your first taste of summiting a Himalayan peak.
