Arrival in Islamabad & Transfer to the Hotel
Why travellers love it
Gasherbrum II’s normal route is straightforward and safe, with technical sections rated Alpine AD, making it a perfect peak for first-time 8000m climbers.
Offers breathtaking views of iconic neighbors, including K2 and Broad Peak.
Sharing a base camp with Gasherbrum I, climbers can attempt both peaks in one expedition for an unparalleled high-altitude adventure.
Trip overview
The 13th-highest peak in the world, Gasherbrum II is considered one of the more accessible and easy 8000m peaks. Known as the “easiest” of the Karakoram giants, it offers a relatively safe and non-technical route, making it an ideal introduction to extreme high-altitude mountaineering. Located at the head of the Baltoro Glacier amidst legendary peaks like K2, Gasherbrum I, and Broad Peak, the journey to Gasherbrum II combines world-class trekking with the thrill of scaling a Himalayan titan.
