Arrival in Islamabad & Transfer to the Hotel
Why travellers love it
The 2-kilometer-wide summit ridge offers unique climbing terrain and stunning panoramic views of the Karakoram peaks, including the towering K2 just five miles away.
Less technically demanding than other 8,000-meter peaks, it provides an ideal opportunity for climbers with experience at 6,800 meters or higher.
Located at the heart of the Baltoro Glacier, this peak dominates the Concordia landscape, offering unparalleled scenery and a close connection to the Karakoram giants.
Trip overview
Offering relatively straightforward technical challenges for an 8000m peak, Broad Peak serves as an excellent introduction to extreme altitude climbing in the Karakoram. The 12th-highest mountain in the world, stands as a striking giant in the Karakoram range, just across from K2. Known locally as “Falchan Kangri,” its 2-kilometer-wide summit ridge and comparatively less technical ascent make it an accessible yet rewarding challenge for experienced mountaineers, with its breathtaking views of K2 and the surrounding glaciers.
