From humble beginnings to leading a Himalayan adventure company, Mr. Yogendra Tamang’s journey is built on hard work, perseverance, and more than two decades of experience in Nepal’s tourism and mountaineering industry.
A Journey of Hard Work and Determination
Originally from Kakani, Nuwakot, Nepal, Mr. Yogendra Tamang began his professional journey in 2004 while pursuing his education. Balancing work and studies was an important part of his early life, as his employment helped him support his college education and develop practical business skills.
He started his career as an Assistant Manager in the freight and logistics sector. In 2009, he entered the trekking and expedition industry, where he gained hands-on experience in equipment management, accounting, logistics, and trekking operations.
His professional growth came step by step. Through dedication, continuous learning, and practical experience, he progressed from operational and administrative roles to senior management positions in established trekking and expedition companies.
More Than Two Decades of Industry Experience
Over the years, Mr. Tamang has built extensive experience in business administration, Himalayan trekking, mountaineering expeditions, logistics, and international client services.
From 2012 to 2021, he served as General Manager of Seven Summit Treks, gaining nearly a decade of experience in managing trekking and mountaineering operations. He later continued his career as General Manager at 8K Expeditions from June 2022 to October 2024.
These professional experiences helped him develop a practical understanding of expedition planning, team coordination, mountain logistics, client relations, and the many responsibilities involved in operating adventure travel programs in the Himalayas.
His journey reflects the importance of learning through experience, accepting responsibility, and growing through the challenges of a demanding industry.
Personal Experience in the Mountains
Beyond his management responsibilities, Mr. Tamang has personal trekking and hiking experience across several Himalayan regions of Nepal, including Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, and Rolwaling.
His mountain experiences include trekking to Everest Base Camp via Cho La Pass and Gokyo Ri, crossing Tashi Lapcha Pass, visiting Tilicho Lake and Gosaikunda, exploring Nar Phu Valley, and participating in the management and coordination of Himlung Himal expeditions.
He also holds professional trekking guide and tour guide licenses. His combination of practical mountain experience and expedition management knowledge gives him valuable insight into the needs of travelers, guides, support teams, and expedition operators.
The Beginning of Peak15 Adventure
In 2024, after years of professional growth and experience in the tourism industry, Mr. Tamang established Peak15 Adventure Pvt. Ltd.
Founding his own company marked an important milestone in his professional journey: moving from managing operations for established companies to building an adventure business of his own.
Through Peak15 Adventure, he aims to bring together his knowledge of Himalayan trekking, mountaineering, logistics, business administration, and international client relations to organize meaningful and professionally managed adventure experiences in Nepal.
The company offers Himalayan trekking, peak climbing, high-altitude mountaineering expeditions, cultural journeys, and customized adventure travel.
Leadership Built on Experience
Mr. Tamang believes that successful adventure travel requires more than reaching a destination. It involves careful planning, teamwork, communication, respect for local communities, and attention to the needs and safety of every participant.
His professional journey has involved working with international clients, mountain guides, climbing teams, accommodation providers, transportation services, and expedition support staff. These experiences have shaped his approach to leadership and tourism management.
