Arrival Kathmandu. (1,350m/4,428ft)
Welcome to Nepal! As your flight lands at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, you shall be greeted and welcomed appropriately by a representative of Nepal Mountain Trekkers at the airport terminal. After that, you shall be escorted to a private vehicle for a drive to your respective hotel where you can take some rest. Later you have the option to take a stroll around the areas nearby your hotel. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.
Kathmandu Sightseeing & Preparation for the Climbing
Today we have scheduled an entire day for a sightseeing tour around the UNESCO World Heritage Sites sited all across the valley. After having our breakfast, we shall visit the holy Buddhist shrines of Boudhanath and Swayambhunath. Boudhanath is considered one of the largest stupas in the world and Swayambhunath (The Monkey Temple) is one of the oldest ancient stupas in Nepal. Moving on we shall visit the sacred site of Pashupatinath, a very significant site for Hindu people. Later we shall also explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square & Bhaktapur Durbar Square. In the evening, we shall go to the Nepal Mountain Trekkers office and we meet our climbing guide and associates for preparation of our upcoming climb to Pisang Peak. Afterward, return to your hotel. Kathmandu to Jagat (1,300m/4,265 ft):8-9 hrs (By Private Jeep)
Get up as we now leave Kathmandu valley and move onward to Jagat for the commencement of our amazing trek today. After having our breakfast, along with our all team members we shall jump inside a Private Jeep for a scenic adventurous drive in the north-western direction. Our drive shall be a long journey as we will be spending the entire day driving from one place to another till we reach our final destination. During the drive, trekkers can witness the magnificent sight of torrential rivers and lush green forests beside several hills all the way throughout the entire trail. Going through some of the most beautiful Nepalese towns we shall reach Jagat after a drive of about 8-9 hours. Jagat is an indigenous village located at an altitude of about 1,300 meters above sea level. Stay overnight at Jagat.
Jagat to Dharapani (1,950m/6,396ft): 6-7 hrs
Now let’s truly start getting our legs working as we now officially start the trek onward in the verdant Annapurna region of Nepal. Initially, we shall move upward and as we go past a sign saying “nice old trekking route” we shall unexpectedly reach a trail full of gorgeous plants and vegetation. Not only that but you are bound to see several waterfalls and streams along the way. So it will be nice to stop at these waterways for some break and photo session if you like as we move further on. Later we shall reach our final destination, a village called Dharapani after walking for about 6-7 hours from Jagat. Dharapani is one of the largest villages in Manang district which is located at an altitude of about 1,950 meters. Stay overnight at Dharapani.
Dharapani to Chame (2,630m/8,628ft): 5-6 hrs
After yesterday’s rigorous walk, we shall now set our eyes on the next goal as we make plans to head further into the Annapurna region. Today as we finish our breakfast, we shall continue walking and initially reach the Tibetan village of Bagarchap within few hours of walking upward. Now as we move past some beautiful tree hills, we shall pass through another small village called Dangyung before making our final attempt to reach our ultimate destination of Chame. After walking and traversing through dense forests filled with waterfalls and stony steps, we reach Chame which is located at an altitude of about 2,630 meters. Respectively upon reaching there, you are suggested to turn your head up and witness a glorious sight of Himalayan Mountains up-close and personal to you. Stay overnight at Chame.
Chame to Upper Pisang (3,300m/10,826ft):5-6hrs
Waking up with the views of Annapurna and Langtang mountain ranges, we shall enjoy our breakfast and afterward continue heading towards Upper Pisang for our overnight stay tonight. So at the beginning of our trek today, we shall pass through several rivers and climb up from Chame village. Bypassing through a village called Taleku, we head towards Bartang by crossing a bridge. From this point onward we shall try and make a climb further up. Traversing on a path with dramatic curved rock faces above the rivers, we shall reach Upper Pisang which is situated at an altitude of 3,300 meters above sea level. Stay overnight at Upper Pisang.
Day for relax and acclimatize (3,300m/10,826ft)
Trekking all the way to Upper Pisang sure is a great deal to us as we have completed the initial section of our trek. So from here onward, we shall prepare ourselves for the enduring task ahead. As per our scheduled itinerary, we shall now commence a day of total rest and relaxation as we have planned to acclimatize our bodies to the altitude from here. By doing so, you are providing your body a chance to get adjusted to the horrendous altitude of these kinds of places situated way above your native lands. But that doesn’t mean that we are going to stay inside our rooms all day long but on the contrary, we shall spend the day exploring around this amazing village filled with gorgeous landscapes all around. All the way through the day trekkers can stay marveled at the sights of Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Gangapurna, and other mountain peaks. Stay overnight at Upper Pisang.
Trek to Pisang Peak Base Camp (4,380m/14,370ft): 5-6 hrs
Trekkers, we have spent an ample amount of time in Upper Pisang to let our bodies get acclimatized to this high altitude. Moving on, we shall wake up, have our breakfast and then get on with our trek to another place from here. In the beginning part of our trek, we shall climb up higher and higher to the trails situated way above from here. Passing through several thinly packed forests and grasslands where trekkers can see yaks grazing all over, we shall move further ahead. Now after walking for about 5-6 hours we arrive at Pisang Base Camp, where we shall take rest and stay the following night. Stay overnight at the Pisang Peak Base Camp.
Trek to Pisang Peak High Camp (5,400m/17,712ft): 3-4 hrs
Get ready trekkers as we now carry on with our initial motive and trek ahead today. After finishing our breakfast, we now have to climb upward to the Pisang Peak High Camp which is located at a soaring altitude of 5,400 meters. So carrying on, we shall start ascending on the southwest ridge and reach the high camp at first. Yes, it’s going to be a pretty high ascent up there so before commencing onward with our climb, first of all, our guides shall provide you with some climbing training activities so that you will be ready to move further on with the trek. Although this kind of training is not thought of as a mandatory practice for every trekker, we like to oppose it as this kind of training helps prepare you for the enduring journey ahead. Sleep well, as we now have to summit Pisang Peak tomorrow. Stay overnight at Pisang Peak High Camp.
Summit to the Peak and back to Base Camp (6,091m/19,980ft): 7-9hrs
So, this is the day we all have been waiting. For the dreams of summiting up to the top of Pisang Peak, we shall all wake up and start on with our ascent to the Summit of the Pisang peak after having our breakfast. Early in the morning, we shall witness a trail with mostly rocky and stony exteriors. While going through these terrains, trekkers need to be very cautious and keep their minds alert each step of the way. Using a 20-meter rope, we shall continue ascending the peak as we climb on a ridge, and afterward, we arrive at a slope with a 70-degree inclination so we shall use our 200-meter rope to bypass this section. Afterward, climbers are rewarded with spectacular scenery never before seen by them. We shall now fill our hearts and mind captivated by the feeling of triumphant, get contented with our achievement, and later on return to the base camp. Stay overnight at the Pisang Base Camp.
Pisang Peak Base Camp to Manang Valley (3,550m/11,646 ft): 5-6 hrs
With a feeling of triumphant, after successfully climbing to the summit of the Pisang Peak, we shall now ascend down to Manang valley today. After having our usual breakfast, we now follow walking along a trail that gets windier and drier as we move further towards Manang valley. Observing some great sights, we shall pass through many trails filled with local houses. Trekkers may realize a change in the landscape as they reach the village of Braga. From this point onward, trekkers need to walk for just some while until they reach the final point of this day, Manang valley. This place is situated at an altitude of 3,550 meters above sea level with a cold and dry landscape all around. Stay overnight at Manang Valley.
Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110m/13,480ft): 3-4hrs
Continuing on with our trek, we shall wake up and have our breakfast. Afterward, we shall move ahead and follow the trail consisting of many streams. Upon crossing several streams, our trail ahead shall reach the village of Tenki just above Manang. From this point onward, our trail continues heading in the direction of the northwest to scale and later move out of the Marshyangdi Valley to arrive at the Jarsang Khola. Traversing through numerous pastures and few juniper trees, we shall continue heading north-west and see that the trails ahead are gaining more altitude further along the trail. Subsequently, we reach the small village of Ghunsa which is, in general, a common local village with flat mud roofs. Trekkers hereby can see the trail ahead has lands filled with meadows where horses and yaks commonly come to graze. Later on, we have to cross a small wooden bridge and we shall reach our final destination, Yak Kharka which is a small village located at an altitude of 4,110 meters. Stay overnight at Yak Kharka.
Yak Kharka to Thorong Pedi (4,600m/15,092ft) / High Camp (4,925m/16,158 ft): 4-5 hrs
Get up and have your breakfast as we now trek further onward to Thorong Phedi today. Initially, our trail today shall follow us with an uphill walk to cross a suspension bridge. After crossing the bridge trekkers shall arrive at a village called Ledar where they can see local indigenous communities going on with their daily life. From this point, onward trekkers start to ascend further along the trail to pass all the way through some soaring cliffs. Later during the trek, we shall reach Thorong Phedi positioned at an altitude of 4,600 meters above sea level. Upon reaching here, trekkers can see the magnificent views of Thorong Peak and others. Stay overnight at Thorong Phedi.
Thorong Pedi/High Camp -Cross Thorong la Pass (5,416m/17,765ft) early in morning and back to Muktinath(3,760m/12,335): 9-10hrs
This day is commonly marked as one of the challenging days of the entire trek by several trekkers who have to cross Thorong La Pass which is generally situated at an altitude of 5,416 meters. So let’s wake up early in the morning and then onward move onward in the west direction. Being one of the highest passes in the world, Thorong La Pass requires a good amount of physical fitness. Normally it takes approximately 7 hours to complete the entire climb so with great views ahead we shall continue climbing up and later crossing the pass. After successfully crossing the Thorong La Pass, we shall start descending further down to Muktinath. Later as we continue descending down, trekkers shall reach the holy pilgrimage site of Muktinath after walking for about 3 hours down to Muktinath at an altitude of 3m760 meters. This holy temple is considered a very significant site for both Hindu and Buddhist people so it is a nice place to spend the night for this day. Stay overnight at Muktinath.
Muktinath to Jomsom (2,800m/9,184ft): 4-5hrs
Having completed the hardest phase of our entire trek, trekkers shall wake up and have their breakfast before making their way down to Jomsom. Early in the morning, we shall initially tour around the holy temple of Muktinath and a Buddhist monastery located nearby the temple. Afterward, we shall move further and descend down to reach the village of Jomsom after walking down for about 4-5 hours. Jomsom village is quite famous for its locally produced syrupy apples and also for the ever-flowing strong breezy winds in the afternoon. Stay overnight at Jomsom.
Morning flight to Pokhara (820m/2,690ft): 25min flight
Having completed our trek, we shall wake up and take a glance at the amazing Annapurna region from Jomsom for the last time today. As premeditated, we shall now take a short-scenic flight back to the touristic hub of Pokhara valley. The flight, in general, takes about 25 minutes to reach Pokhara from Jomsom and after reaching Pokhara you shall be transferred to your respective hotel. There you can take a shower and get your body refreshed as now you only have to celebrate your amazing climb to the Summit of Pisang Peak. Stay overnight at Pokhara.
Fly / Drive to Kathmandu (By Bus 5-6 hrs and By Flight 35minutes)
Today, we say goodbye to Pokhara valley and its iconic serene lakes with magnificent mountains soaring above. After having our breakfast, we shall now take a drive back to the capital city of Kathmandu which takes us through lush green hills covered with traditional houses and people. Passing through the torrential rivers, we continue heading east from Pokhara and reach Kathmandu after driving for about 5-6 hours. Or we may take a flight back to Kathmandu which normally takes just 35 minutes. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you shall be escorted to your respective hotel. Later you can go out for some souvenir shopping as tomorrow you have a flight back home. Stay overnight at Kathmandu.

Having finished our incredible trek and climb in the remarkable Annapurna region, today you shall be transferred to the airport 3 hours prior to your scheduled flight by a representative of Nepal Mountain Trekkers. Having finished our incredible trek and climb in the remarkable Annapurna region, today you shall be transferred to the airport 3 hours prior to your scheduled flight by a representative of Nepal Mountain Trekkers.
