The International Mountain Museum in the city’s south features displays about the Himalayan people and the history of mountaineering.
Chitawan
Southern Nepal’s Chitwan is a well-liked vacation spot because of its verdant Terai region and plethora of animals, especially in the Chitwan National Park. The park is well-known for its effective conservation efforts, particularly for the Bengal tiger and one-horned rhinoceros, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With its Tharu communities and customs, Chitwan provides a rich cultural experience in addition to its animals.
Lumbini
A major Buddhist pilgrimage site and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Lumbini is in Nepal and is said to be the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama, the founder of Buddhism and later known as Gautama Buddha. Millions of Buddhists and other tourists seeking enlightenment and tranquility flock to this site because of its great spiritual significance.
