At just 32, IFMGA-certified guide Mingma Chiri Sherpa has established himself as one of Nepal’s most accomplished high-altitude mountaineers. His remarkable journey began with a summit of Dhaulagiri (8,167m) in 2011, and since then, he has amassed an impressive record including eight successful Everest summits and multiple ascents of Manaslu, Muztagh Ata, and other major peaks.
Born in the mountainous district of Dolakha, Mingma brings a unique combination of traditional Sherpa climbing heritage and modern technical expertise to every expedition. His exceptional track record with Chinese and international teams, particularly in challenging autumn seasons, speaks to his versatility and skill in varying mountain conditions. Beyond the 8000-meter giants, he has led numerous successful climbs on popular peaks like Island Peak and Mera Peak.
As an IFMGA guide with Peak 15 Adventure, Mingma represents the new generation of Nepali mountain professionals – highly trained, technically skilled, and deeply committed to maintaining the highest standards of mountain safety and client success.
